Norway is an amazingly beautiful country of fjords and severe but fantastic Nordic nature. The Scandinavian design is a special branch with its characteristic features but if it’s located near the sea the views would be maximized like in this cabin by Norway architect Tommie Wilhelmsen on a faraway island. Overlooking the sea, this timber cabin features a dynamic exterior design and interiors that open to the outdoors through folding glass walls. The interior in some way reminds of a vessel, especially by its wooden decks. Light grey with beige and natural wood look amazingly calming and relaxing and they don’t distract the attention from the awesome views. Cozy Apartment In Barcelona

The interiors of this beautiful apartment in Barcelona, Spain, were designed by Deulonder. The materials used are natural and of neutral colors – timber, brown leather and fabrics. The interiors are very cozy and modern, the bookcase in the living room is specified by making stairs to it. The kitchen is separated by the sliding glass doors so it looks very light and open and the usual dining chairs are replaced by the armchairs to make it more comfortable. Natural wood and white color is everywhere and it’s a very good combination for a bedroom. Big windows are in every room to maximize the light. In the bedroom they can be closed by the jalousie to make it more intimate. It’s an amazing house as it’s very cozy and you relax with the first glance at it.

Recycled Plane House in California by David Hertz Architects


The large-scale recycling architecture of contemporary home design project that located in California, on a 55-acre property into the remote hills of Malibu overlooking mountains, a valley, the Pacific Ocean and its Channel Islands, was designed byArchitects David Hertz who based Santa Monica for realize the desire a dream house from a woman who co-owns a Mercedes car dealership, Francie Rehwald which want to have a home design with curvilinear/feminine shapes and also eco-friendly. Called Wing house, because the building structure of this sustainable house design was built using plane’s wings of a retired Boeing 747-200.

Boeing 747’s are huge pieces of modern transportation for recycled plane architecture. Measuring 230 feet in length and 63 feet tall, the aircraft has over 17,000 cubic feet of cargo room. Because architectural design ideas was organically evolved from the clues, specifications of the building site, and client desires, so after conducting further research, 2.500 square feet aircraft wings is became an ideal configuration to be used as a roof with minimal additional structural support needed and can be maximizing the view from the house.

Wing house with its extensive use of recycled materials was built in the spirit of former owner renowned designer Tony Duquette’s style, who had built numerous eccentric structures using found objects from all around the world. Unfortunately, these buildings were destroyed by fire in 1995.

The roof of the main residence consists of the two main wings of the aircraft, and 2 stabilizers from the tail section over the master bedroom. The front fuselage section and upper first-class cabin became the guest house roof, while the lower half of the fuselage was used to cover the animal barn. A meditation pavilion has been shaped from the front of the airplane with the cockpit windows as skylights, drawing in an abundance of natural light.

Other features, including a fire pit and fountain, were also made with airplane components. The cabin windows became house windows, and even the landing lights on the wings have been put to use for exterior lighting. In addition to this large-scale reuse of post-consumer waste, other sustainable building features include a solar array, irrigation cistern, radiant heating, natural ventilation, high-performance heat mirror glazing, abundant daylight and non-toxic materials.

Representation and Offices Building, The Norwegian Embassy by Kristin Jarmund Architects


The New Norwegian Embassy that constructed from local materials, with local labourers, and the intention is to integrate the building with the surrounding city texture, such as wood and stone is located in Patan, on the outskirts of Kathmandu, Nepal was designed by the Norwegian architectural firm Kristin Jarmund Architectson commission from the Norwegian Directorate of Public Construction and Property. The building is integrated into the slope of the site, allowing plateaus of outdoor space to extend into the building. A south facing intimate patio is directly linked to the vestibule inside.

The building covers a surface of 800m2 and is built into the slope of the site, allowing plateaus of outdoor space to extend into the building. A south facing intimate patio is directly linked to the vestibule. The facade, facing the Himalayan Mountains, is architecturally expressed by an added volume, which rises above the main entrance of the otherwise single-storey building. The volume houses the Ambassador’s office and is accented by a dynamic zigzag panoramic window, whose trail makes a tribute to the mountainous chain and purposely reflects the Himalayas.
